Dr. Razan Abukhaizran

Dr. Razan Abukhaizaran is a highly experienced fertility specialist. She currently serves as the Deputy Director of Razan Fertility Centers while maintaining an active clinical role at the Ramallah branch. She is widely recognized for her impactful contributions to improving the quality of fertility care across the region.
She earned her medical degree from An-Najah National University and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem. She holds certifications from the Palestinian Board, the Arab Board, and is a full member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (UK), making her one of the few physicians in Palestine to achieve this prestigious triple qualification.
Driven by a passion for reproductive medicine, Dr. Abukhaizaran pursued a Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception at the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom, graduating with distinction and being honored for achieving the highest score in her program. She then completed a one-year clinical fellowship at the Newcastle Fertility Centre in the UK, where she continued to refine her technical skills and gained hands-on experience applying the latest international protocols in infertility treatment and advanced assisted reproduction techniques.
Her clinical and research interests focus on the genetic causes of male and female infertility. She co-leads a collaborative research project titled "Genetics of Human Infertility" with Sidra Medicine in Qatar, aiming to uncover the underlying genetic mechanisms contributing to infertility.
She also has a strong interest in recurrent pregnancy loss, especially in unexplained cases, and is actively exploring both genetic and immunological factors that may play a role. As part of her broader vision, she is leading efforts to establish a formal fertility preservation program to support patients undergoing medical treatments—such as chemotherapy or immunosuppressive therapy—that may impact their reproductive future.
